About Mountain Valley Cockers
An Honest Dog Breeder
Mountain Valley Cockers is a fulfillment of my dream to re-introduce the Cocker Spaniel as a favorite family pet. I fell in love with this breed when... I found Charlie, a Tri-Colored Parti little boy who healed my broken heart. The worst day of my life was when I had to put down my beloved Max. He was a Tri-Colored Swiss Mountain Dog whom I had rescued from an animal shelter. I truly believe God made little Charlie available when I needed him most. From the moment I brought him home, Charlie has been my beautiful, wiggly bundle of happiness. He lives to play, preferably with a ball. His tail never stops wagging and he always has a doggy smile on his face. Charlie’s markings were so striking that I just knew he would have to pass those genes on to further generations of Parti puppies. Soon after Charlie came to live with us, my search was on for a female. I searched for over a year to find my Red and White Parti female. Annie is a sweet, dainty, yet feisty little girl who loves to snuggle and keeps her “brothers” in line. She never wanders too far away from me when she goes outside. Her favorite spot is on my lap and/or in our bed. Annie is a wonderfully attentive Mommy. She takes such good care of all of her babies, feeding them, cleaning their little bottoms, always keeping a vigilant eye out in protecting her babies. “Uncle” Ralph is our elderly Wire Fox Terrier who was completely fascinated with these furry little babies. When the puppies were just new, he spent much of his time just watching them and how Annie cared for them. Our main priority is ensuring the health and well-being of all our puppies, from birth until they leave with their forever family - and beyond. Our puppies have been vet checked, tails docked and dew-claws removed. By the time they go home, the puppies are vaccinated and dewormed, health checked and certified with AKC. Each puppy is register-able with a limited pet registration. Each puppy goes home with a new puppy package of goodies, a new owner checklist, a vaccination record and a sample of their puppy food. Their package of goodies has a variety of puppy goodies, including a Mommy blanket, which helps make their entrance to their new homes an easier transition.

"A PUPPY"

“A puppy is a puppy is a puppy. He’s probably in a basket with a bunch of other puppies. Then he’s a little older and he’s nothing but a bundle of longing. He doesn’t even understand it. Then someone picks him up and says
‘I want this one’”.

Guiding Philosophy
How We Do Things
At Mountain Valley Cockers, we are rigorous in screening and selecting the right home for each animal. If we do not think your home is the best place for them, we will redirect you to a different Dog Breeder who might be a better fit. To reserve a puppy, please get in touch. Note, we will not separate our babies from their mother until they have learned all they can from Mom and Dad.
